Asbestos Inspector Initial Workshop (Certificate)

Course Format: On-Site / In-House / Private Tutoring  V

Any person who performs the limited tasks involved in the survey, identification and assessment of the condition of asbestos and asbestos material and the recording and reporting thereof, or who is involved in the collection of bulk samples of asbestos material or suspected asbestos material for laboratory analysis shall possess a valid inspector certificate and shall have such certificate or a copy thereof in his/her possession at all times while working on the project.�

Asbestos Awareness (Certificate)

Training for employees performing Class IV operations shall be consistent with EPA requirements for training of local education agency maintenance and custodial staff (custodians, electricians, heating/air conditioning engineers, plumbers etc) as set forth at 40 CFR 763.92 (a)(1). The staff who may work in a building that contains ACBM receive awareness training of at least 2 hours, whether or not they are required to work with ACBM. Such a course shall include available information concerning the locations of thermal system insulation and surfacing ACM/PACM, and asbestos-containing material where the absence of asbestos has not yet been confirmed.
