The combined Bachelor of Science/Doctor of Chiropractic (BS/DC) program between the University of Hartford and New York Chiropractic College (NYCC) provides a unique opportunity for students with career goals in chiropractic medicine. The accelerated program typically allows for the completion of the BS/DC degrees in a six and one-third year period. The BS/DC program is for the academically outstanding student with a strong, realistic motivation toward the chiropractic profession. Initial study at the University of Hartford allows the student to complete the general education and basic science requirements for the BS Health Science degree, and the prerequisites necessary for professional study. The BS degree is awarded by the University of Hartford following the successful completion of the first year of graduate study. Certified Chiropractic Wellness Specialist (CCWS)

The American Chiropractic Association (ACA) has partnered with the National Wellness Institute (NWI) to offer a wellness certification program for doctors of chiropractic. After completing this 40-hour program, participants may become Certified Chiropractic Wellness Specialists through NWI, a well-respected organization recognized both inside and outside the chiropractic profession. ACA has created an evidence-based program to give doctors of chiropractic the information and tools necessary to act as wellness coaches to their patients. While courses in psychology are a regular part of the curriculum at many chiropractic colleges, most D.C.s do not receive specific training in health and wellness promotion—a burgeoning field in today’s health-conscious society. ACA’s program fills those gaps and enhances doctors?ability to reinforce healthy behaviors in their patients.

Diplomate in Clinical Chiropractic Pediatrics (DICCP) Workshop

The course is broad-based but comprehensive. There are 30 modules (360+ hours) taught over a three-year period. The curriculum is structured and balances academic knowledge with clinical applications. Practical workshops, observation/training at a Children’s Center for Special Needs Children, research writing and oral presentation of a professional paper are part of the curriculum and mandatory. The goal of the DICCP program is to ensure that by the time the D.C. completes the full course, he/she has the knowledge, competency and skills expected of a health care provider with post-graduate education in chiropractic pediatrics.

Diplomate of the Academy of Chiropractic Orthopedists (DACO)

With a live/online hybrid structure, learners are able to earn diplomate eligibility with the Academy of Chiropractic Orthopedists (DACO) in as little as two years.

Programming is designed with a focus on clinical relevance and is fully integrative for optimum use in clinical applications.
