Sterile Processing Clinical (Certificate)

This course is designed to present the basic concepts and principles for developing skills and competencies required for infection prevention and control in the sterile processing department in a health care facility. This course will offer basic knowledge related to instrumentation connected with surgical procedures. The students will be involved processes such as cleaning, disinfecting, decontamination, sterilization, Standard precautions, and Universal precautions. The student will learn basic knowledge concerning various types of central service equipment such as ultrasonic cleaning, washer sterilizers, cart washers, autoclaves, steris, sterrad and ethylene oxide (ETO) machines.

Renal Dialysis Technology (Certificate)

Nephrology (Renal Dialysis) is a medical discipline specializing in the treatment of patients with end stage renal disease and/or dysfunction. Nephrology technologists are members of a health care team dedicated to helping patients on renal dialysis. Technologists operate technical and sophisticated medical equipment which removes excess fluids and toxins from the circulatory system. They monitor, adjust settings, and record patient data during dialysis. Technologists must become familiar with associated medical support equipment, the application of such, and their safe handling and cleaning.

EMT II Paramedic

Medical Billing and Coding (Certificate)

Designed to prepare students for entry-level employment as certified coders. Students learn to solve billing problems, file claims, complete insurance forms, trace delinquent claims, appeal denied claims, and use generic forms to streamline billing procedures. This course covers medical terminology, insurance procedures, coding and computerized medical billing. Program completers can earn national certification as a certified Professional Coder from the American Academy of Professional Coders (AAPC.)

Certified Pharmacy Technician

This program provides technical and practical pharmaceutical knowledge leading to employment as an assistant to a registered pharmacist. It offers basic academic training in prescription order processing, inventory activities, over-the-counter drug sales, record keeping, product prepackaging, bulk compounding and manufacturing, computer operations, administration, management and related tasks.

Certified Cardiographic Technician (A hospital and classroom based Certification Program

Certified Cardiographic Technician is a comprehensive training program. Course contents include Medical Terminology, Human Anatomy and Physiology, Cardiovascular Anatomy and Physiology, EKG/ECG Techniques and Recognition, Stress Test techniques and Holter Monitoring. Having completed this program the students will have sufficient knowledge and skills to work in the Cardiac Technology field in a Medical Center or a Hospital. Routine tasks may include registration of patients, setting up appointments, operating the systems and perform EKG/ECG, Holter Monitoring or Stress Testing procedures.
